About Me
Let's Connect
I’m Dianne Godwin, the shutter-clicking, often silly gal behind the camera. It feels so cliché to say that photography is my passion. But it is – both cliché and true.

I can’t remember a time that I didn’t enjoy taking pictures. When I was younger, I would torture, er..., practice my photography skills on my sister. I should’ve purchased stock in Kodak or Fuji for all I spent on film and developing back then. With the advent of digital, I’ve been able to hone my skills a little more freely. (We just won’t mention the software, cameras, lenses, and other accessories!)

While a single photograph freezes one particular moment in time, it is also a catalyst for many more memories and stories from our lives. It is such a joy to have the opportunity to capture the here and now for you to remember and share, not only for yourself but for future generations.

I think there’s value to both nicely posed and candid photos. Enjoying and sharing a beautifully posed portrait against just the right backdrop is wonderful, but the candids that highlight the personalities and relationships behind those posed faces are every bit as delightful.

I love to meet people and make new friends. The chance to capture your stories with my camera is a sweet bonus which I relish and hope that you will, too. And, just for fun, some other random bits about me:

-
Crazy, mad in love with my husband of over 32 years
-
Mom to two sweet young men
-
Have lived in Colorado Springs most of my life
-
Love Starbucks. Can’t stand coffee. Love the smell. And the ambiance. I drink iced venti chai lattes with toffeenut.
-
I love words. I love to write words, read words, play word games, and even photograph words.
-
I love to laugh. Sometimes at things that no one else really gets. I’m my own little party.
-
I’ve been sewing since I was a child. I made my wedding dress and veil (not while a child). Making a tailored suit for my husband was harder.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know more about you. Perhaps you can share your own randomness with me, too.
